Day Five

Thought I’d drop in and give some impressions of how we’re feeling five days in.

In a word, grateful.

The Tumblr community has made this endeavor worth every coding roadblock, iPhone-crashing, bug-hunting safari, and long sleepless night of SDK-cursing.

When we read reviews like this one, it affirms our hunch; that the Tumblr community would stand behind a full-featured, quality iPhone app, even if it costs the same as a latte at Starbucks.

So what’s up next? First, let me assure you, 1.1 is coming. We’ve gotten quite a few international sales which means we need to localize this thing, pronto! We also need to address the way groups are handled. The Tumblr Gods were nice enough to add a new feature to their API to help fix that (thanks!), so expect groups to be much improved in the near future. There’s also some other changes coming, but you’ll have to wait a little longer to hear about them.
